Meet Chrissy Thomas & About Face Skin Care Team
Owner Chrissy Thomas, RN, BSN, has worked in the field of skin care since 1996. A graduate of Georgia Baptist College of Nursing in Atlanta, she has held positions as charge nurse of plastic surgery for Egleston Children’s Hospital (now Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta), and director of adult plastic surgery and director of skin care services for Plastic Surgery Consultants in Atlanta.
Tina-Ann Kerr Thompson, MD spent most of her life in Hartford, CT. She received her Bachelor of Science degree at Yale University. After graduating from Boston University School of Medicine, she completed the Emory Family Medicine Residency Program . She is Board Certified by the American Academy of Family Medicine. She is a member of the Georgia and American Association of Family Practice. She serves as a preceptor for medical students from Emory University and Mercer School of Medicine.
Mary Jackson, RN, is a 1983 graduate of Pace University School of Nursing in New York. Mary has worked as an RN for over 20 years in orthopedics, neurology,geriatrics and surgery. She’s held many charge positions including her current position as charge nurse of the pre-op and PACU department at Gwinnett Advanced Surgery Center in Snellville. Mary has been a client of About Face Skin Care for 5 years,and has completed the certification process to become a Nurse Injector. She lives in Lawrenceville with her husband Matt and her 3 children.
Sona Martinez is a Licensed Master Cosmetologist a Licensed Medical Esthetician. Sona has worked as a freelance hair and make-up artist for over nine years. Her work includes professional photo shoots, commercial and video production, print advertising, and fashion editorials. She has the remarkable talent to enhance the natural beauty of the face and maintains a clientele list across the nation. After working years as a freelance make-up artist Sona expanded her talent and knowledge in the skin care industry.
Peggy Donovan holds a B.S. degree in business from Brenau University in Gainesville. After a 25-year career in accounting and benefits administration with Johnson & Johnson, she decided to enter the field of skincare. She was an About Face client for many years before becoming a staff member in 2010, earning a certification as a Licensed Medical Esthetician. Peggy and her husband live in Flowery Branch.
Cherri Dursee was the first employee at About Face Skin Care, and has been with the practice since 2005. After 9 years of responsibilities of Front Desk duties, Cherri made the decision to return to school in 2014 to receive her Esthetician license in order to become more “hands-on” with our patients. She will continue to serve and educate customers in the years to come. You’ll see her smiling face each time you visit us at About Face Skin Care and About Mind and Body.
Sam Thomas (Owner) holds a BS degree from Emory University. After a 17 year career in the Information Technology arena, he left his position in December of 2010, to join his wife (Chrissy Thomas) with managing the practice in a business development role tasked with overseeing such duties as growing market share, daily operations, marketing, client retention, web development & social media, and business expansion.
Kathy Davis joined us at our Front Desk assisting with appointments, scheduling and providing customer service. Kathy and her family have lived in Gwinnett since 1985. She previously worked for 10 years with Dr. Thomas A. Lois (Plastic Surgical Services in Snellville, GA) assisting with patient scheduling.
Christy Phillips came to About Face in early 2013 where she currently assists with daily front desk operations. She previously worked as a manager in a salon and day spa in Suwanee where she was introduced to the skin care industry after having worked in the beauty and customer service industry for 10 years. She apprenticed as an aesthetician for about a year and decided that combining her love for skin care and her customer service skills was the best route for her. Christy and her family live in Grayson and have been in the Snellville area since 1997.
Susie Moe is part of our Business Administration and Support Team. Susie Moe received her undergraduate degree from Auburn University and her Master of Business Administration from Central Missouri State. After years in the corporate world, she spent time at home raising her three children and pursuing various interests. We coaxed Susie out of retirement and she is excited to be assisting us with scheduling, customer service and administrative duties.
