How long has About Face Skin Care been in business?
About Face Skin Care has proudly served our communities for over 24 years! Founded by Chrissy Thomas, RN, BSN, our first location opened in Snellville in 2002. Since then, we’ve expanded to better serve our patients by opening our Hamilton Mill location in Dacula in 2020 and our newest location in Bogart in January 2025. We are grateful for the trust our patients have placed in us over the years and look forward to continuing to provide exceptional aesthetic care for years to come.
What should I expect at my first appointment?
Your first visit will include a complimentary consultation with one of our providers. We’ll discuss your concerns, goals, medical history, and treatment options to create a personalized plan designed specifically for you.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Arrive with clean skin whenever possible and bring a list of any medications or supplements you take. Depending on your treatment, we may provide additional pre-care instructions before your appointment.
How long does a consultation take?
Most consultations take between 30-60 minutes, depending on the concerns being addressed and the treatments being discussed.
Do I need a consultation before receiving treatment?
Many treatments require a consultation to ensure they are appropriate for you and to develop the safest, most effective treatment plan.
Is there a consultation fee?
No! Consultations at About Face Skin Care are completely complimentary. To reserve your appointment, some consultations may require a deposit. This deposit can be refunded back to the original card on file or applied toward your service or product purchase at your visit. Our goal is to help you understand your options and create a treatment plan that aligns with your goals.
What types of providers will I see?
At About Face Skin Care, your provider is matched based on your treatment goals and the concerns you’d like to address. Our providers are highly credentialed professionals who hold the appropriate licenses, certifications, and specialized training within their respective fields. Whether you’re seeing one of our experienced medical injectors, licensed aestheticians, or laser professionals, you can feel confident knowing our team is committed to ongoing education and delivering safe, personalized, and results-driven care.
What if I've never had aesthetic treatments before?
That’s perfectly okay! Many of our patients are new to aesthetics. Our team will walk you through every step, answer your questions, and help you feel comfortable with your options.
How do I know which treatment is right for me?
Our providers will assess your concerns and goals during your consultation and recommend treatments that align with your desired outcomes.
Is there downtime after treatment?
Downtime varies depending on the treatment. Some services allow you to return to normal activities immediately, while others may require a few days of recovery. We will review all expectations before treatment.
When will I see results?

How many treatments will I need?

What is your cancellation policy?
We kindly ask that any appointment changes or cancellations be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to applicable fees or deposit forfeiture.
Do you offer financing options?

Can I combine treatments?
