Welcome to About Face Skin Care!
At About Face Skin Care, our mission is to help the patient achieve their optimum skin appearance through a customized professional and home care regimen. We understand that each person’s skin is unique, and we focus treatment with the individual’s concerns in mind. About Face Skin Care stays abreast of the latest technology in the skin care industry, and strives to educate our clients on the science behind beautiful skin and healthy living.
About Face was launched in 2002 with the support of Dr. Diane Leeb
of Plastic Surgery Consultants in Atlanta. Today, About Face serves
more than 500 active clients—mostly, women in their fifties and
beyond—by providing basic skin therapy, including microcurrent
facial toning, photo-rejunvenation therapy, microdermabrasion,
glycolic acid peels and Botox treatments. About Face has also
recently acquired a pharmaceutical grade makeup line, gloMineral, as
well as, launched it’s own skin care line and formulations, branded
“180°.”
As a team of medical professionals, About Face can access the most
advanced skin care training and technology. In addition, it offers
pharmaceutical-grade products, which are sold exclusively to
healthcare professionals. “Our medical training and experience is
what differentiates About Face from other skin care/spa services,”
says Thomas. “In addition, our medical expertise enables us to
understand our clients’ particular health concerns to ensure the
best—and safest—results for their skin care needs. A regular
esthetician doesn’t have this capability.” Thomas has worked in
the field of skin care since 1996. A graduate of Georgia Baptist
College of Nursing in Atlanta in 1994, she has held positions as
charge nurse of plastic surgery for Egleston Children's Hospital
(now Children's Healthcare of Atlanta), and director of adult
plastic surgery and director of skin care services for Plastic
Surgery Consultants.
A Message from Chrissy Thomas RN, BSN-Owner of About Face Skin Care.
“It’s never too late (or too early) to start taking care of your
body’s largest organ, which suffers daily assaults externally—from
pollution and sun damage—and internally—from dietary and medical
factors,” says Thomas.
