SKINVIVE™ is clinically proven to be safe for all skin types and colors, and is approved for adults over the age of 21. If you’re interested in improving the radiance and texture of the cheeks, you may be a good candidate for SKINVIVE™. However, it is not recommended for patients allergic to lidocaine, or those who have had previous allergic reactions to hyaluronic acid fillers. How Is SKINVIVE™ Performed?
Before SKINVIVE™ is injected into the treatment areas, a numbing agent is first applied to help minimize discomfort. Then, the SKINVIVE™ formula will be injected with a small needle by our Master Level Cosmetic Injectors. The treatment takes approximately 15 minutes to administer.
What Is Recovery Like After SKINVIVE™ by Juvederm®?
There is little to no downtime after SKINVIVE™ injections. Side effects are typically quite minor, and may include redness, swelling, and/or bruising. In most cases, these side effects resolve within one week. Still, patients will be able to return to work and other normal activities immediately after their appointment. The only exceptions are that patients should avoid strenuous exercise, sun or heat exposure, and alcoholic beverages for the first 24 hours after treatment.
How Long Will My SKINVIVE™ Results Last?
SKINVIVE™ by Juvederm® is clinically proven to last up to six months with optimal treatment. Therefore, many patients choose to receive touch-up sessions around the 6-month mark to prolong their results. This will help patients maintain smooth, glowing cheeks year-round.
